As an authorized BERNINA Dealer, we are Colorado Springs' only independent authorized BERNINA Dealer and a Full-Service sewing center. We also offer sewing machine service. 

All Bernina Sewing Machines purchased from our store come with our "LIFETIME OF LEARNING" program. We will teach and help you with your sewing machine no matter how long it takes. We have classes almost every week that you can join at no charge for hands-on help.  All of the Bernina Mastery Classes are offered free of charge to anyone who purchases their sewing machine from High Country Quilts.

Block of the Month - This lovely and delicate fabric designed by Lisa Audit has a classic design of blossoming foliage that enhances lightly colored and muted tones, giving a simple feel and timeless look. This is a 8-session block class starting April 5th at 10:30am. Quilt size is 60" X 69"

The Blue Smoke quilt sets bold blocks on a shadowed trellis to create a moody and dramatic statement. Beautiful batiks in rich blue, gray and white tones are detailed with subtle prints. Simple blocks pieced into the border will create a stunning skirt when on a queen size bed. This project is suitable for intermediate or experienced quilters.

CHROMATIC BEAUTY 12 Month BLOCK OF THE MONTH This radiating new Chromatic Beauty Block of the Month Quilt design features Maywood Studio's gorgeous Gelato Ombre fabrics! The combination of a rich black background and shaded onbre's makes this quilt glow from within. There are just nine different fabrics, but because of the ombre effect, you have the benefit of many more tones and shades. The Chromatic Beauty design is 97" square and features beautiful angles and movement. The pattern will include templates for many of the blocks, making this quilt accessible to moderately skilled quilters. Add some dynamic quilting and you have a spectacular finish.

In this 12-session block of the month, you will enjoy using Northcott's Banyan Batiks in the neutral colorwave designed by Linda Hahn and Deborah Stanley of Frog Hollow Designs. The class is suitable for all skill levels. The techniques used to create the blocks allow for easy and quick construction, creating a beautiful 66" X 78" quilt.

Tonga Windsong is a batik collection featuring the best of nature's colors. This twelve month program offers a variety of block and fabric combinations. Some months customers will make individual blocks featuring warm or cool fabrics while in other months fabrics will be blended to create stunning seasonally colored blocks. In the twelfth month the customers will receive two packets; one packet of the final four blocks and a fabric pack containing the pieced borders and binding. This would also make a great quilt for a dad, uncle or the cabin, etc! The earthy tones are just perfect for this. Finished size 108? x 108? Skill Level: Confident Beginner

Pat Syta began sewing at twelve and started quilting in 1991. Her first project was an ambitious eighteen-block queen-sized quilt. Two years later, she started teaching quilting in Anchorage, Alaska. Pat specializes in teaching beginners but enjoys instructing students of all levels and taking advanced classes herself. Mimi Hollenbaugh began quilting in 1983 and has constantly had projects in progress since then. She loves applique but enjoys various forms of quilting and needlework. Mimi spent nearly ten years in England, where she worked and taught at Puddleduck’s Quilt Shop, designed quilts for Makower Fabrics, and co-authored a children's quilt book. She returned to Colorado in 2011.
