**Pat Syta** began sewing at twelve and started quilting in 1991. Her first project was an ambitious eighteen-block queen-sized quilt. Two years later, she started teaching quilting in Anchorage, Alaska. Pat specializes in teaching beginners but enjoys instructing students of all levels and taking advanced classes herself.

**Mimi Hollenbaugh** began quilting in 1983 and has constantly had projects in progress since then. She loves applique but enjoys various forms of quilting and needlework. Mimi spent nearly ten years in England, where she worked and taught at Puddleduck’s Quilt Shop,designed quilts for Makower Fabrics, and co-authored a children's quilt book. She returned to Colorado in 2011.
